I try to take my car on extended tours as often as possible. Usually I sleep in motels and get off to an early start in order to spend as much time as possible driving. If there's a tuning shop in the area I make sure to stop by there, and if I'm really lucky there might be a tuning event or auto show I can visit.

My tuning buddies are always raving about the famous Route 66, but the truth is that it doesn't even stretch all across the country. Furthermore, the speed limit is 65 mph on most of that interstate. I prefer to drive along bigger roads. For my most recent tour, I drove from the east coast of Florida all the way to Los Angeles along the scenic I-10 route. It took me almost a week, but I enjoyed every minute of it.
